Its curriculum consists of African American history, music, dance, culture, oral history, and a special focus on the history and culture of the local AfricanAmerican community in South Dallas. Booker Drew has generously supported the Saturday School Program with a grant from the State Fair of Texas to provide a coordinator, a graduate student assistant, snacks, and supplies for the six-month program, which runs until November.
