Now that your application is in "being considered", it generally means that you have passed the basic pre-employment screens and background.

It goes through HR with the other applicants that applied for that same job , then when they have finished qualifying you it will leave the being considered phase and either go to hiring or declined. In either instance, you will most likely get a letter with either choice.

If it is a positive result you will most likely get a phone call before you get the letter, whereas, if it is a negative result you will get the letter informing you as to why you were not selected. Basically your application is being reviewed and compared to other applicants who are applying for the job at the current time.

This is hinted by the words "to be fair you will be unable to up date your details" this is because they will be comparing your information to another persons information so you will not be able to change anything which will affect their decision against another applicant.

Sometimes they dont really need the position to be secured quickly for some reasons.
